Streetlight 20 LED: Osram launches new road luminaires with high-efficiency lens technology

Streetlight 20 LED

The Streetlight 20 LED is the new LED road luminaire range from the OSRAM subsidiary Siteco. The luminaires are based on efficient lens technology and provide an economic way of illuminating roads, paths, railway infrastructures, parking lots and pedestrian crossings in compliance with current standards.

Thanks to four construction sizes, constant luminous flux of 1,500 lumens with the micro version and up to 24,000 lumens with the maxi version as well as various light distribution characteristics, the luminaires are ideal for all technical road lighting applications with 3 to 14 m mounting heights. The Streetlight 20 LED is available in both post-top and side-entry designs. The simple, sustainable modular concept enables rapid installation and safe module replacements on the mast. All components have been designed for very long lifespans – the efficient standard Streetlight 20 LED version for example achieves around 100,000 operating hours (L90/B10). After this period has expired the complete module including electrical components is replaced with ease while the carrier housing remains on the mast.

The range of luminaires is available with various control options aimed at optimum energy efficiency. These include simple switching and dimming functions, integration in intelligent, networked light management and monitoring systems via Powerline, and wireless radio communication in a self-sufficient network based on the future-capable IP V6 network standard. Thanks to the Optotronic 4DIM control unit and the SLC Streetlight Controller all functions for individual configuration, dimming and control as well as monitoring complete lighting systems are available. An interface for light sensors or RF (radio frequency) antennae means the luminaires are also "smart city"-capable.
