Digital Lighting Solutions for Smart Buildings

Prevaled Core Style

At Light + Building 2016 Osram Digital Systems will present new smart lighting solutions such as digital components and systems that offer full design freedom in luminaire and lighting designs. Osram’s latest LED light engine module for vivid colors in shop lighting, an ultraflat LED driver and sensor of only eleven millimeters height and a lighting control systems for Smart Buildings and Smart Cities will be on display at the booth. Whether for fixture manufacturers or electricians, lighting designers, architects or property developers; innovative Smart lighting solutions can be found at the Osram booth.

Vivid colors in retail applications with Prevaled Core Style (FCI)
In the retail applications area, Osram will showcase the Prevaled Core Style LED light engine module, which creates vivid colors in shop lighting. Thanks to its excellent color contrast and specially tailored light spectrum the Prevaled Core Style module provides high quality of light which attracts the shopper's attention even when compared to traditional HID solutions. The optimized true color technology achieves the high Feeling of Contrast Index (FCI value of 138 with a CRI of 88), and a 3,000 lumen package. The light engine comes with LEDset II-configurability and reduces luminaire design effort when combined with OTi DALI drivers. Prevaled Core Style is also protected from overheating with thermal auto-shutdown and it conforms to Zhaga standards. Additional peace of mind comes with the 5-year Osram guarantee.

More design freedom with the ultraflat system approach
Within the office application and innovation area, visitors can check out the new ultraflat system of drivers, sensors and modules and a profile of only eleven millimeters. These provide more freedom in luminaire design without compromising on performance and connectivity. The system consists of an Optotronic LED driver as well as presence and daylight sensors. The Optotronic LED driver produces very high quality of light – for continuous dimming – DALI Edition 2 conformity and high energy efficiency. Moreover it can be flexibly programmed with both LEDSet and DALI or near field communication technology. Maximum energy savings are facilitated in combination with the eleven millimeters profile sensor for daylight and presence detection that works jointly with the driver to create unprecendeted design freedom and new luminaire integration. Design solutions for the ultraflat system include standing and pendant luminaires, recessed luminaires and batten luminaires for office and educational applications, hotels and restaurants.

Smart and simple Bluetooth lighting control
Osram will also present Luxeye, the new lighting management system with plug & play simplicity developed for electricians. Using the free Luxeye app on smartphone, up to 20 luminaires can be controlled, whether integrated with DALI or 10A relay. The integrated presence and daylight sensor facilitates energy saving needs in buildings. Luxeye will adjust and configure itself automatically after mains switch-on. Immediate adjustments can be made with just a screwdriver. The Luxeye app can be used to configure all the functions required for full customization and analysis. An integrated wizard supports you during commissioning. More than just energy saving, Luxeye enables wireless control of lighting.
