Osram celebrates debut at light+building with retail booth

Aisle integration solution

light+building 2012: Innovative aisle systems for individual and standardized requirements

For the first time ever, Osram is presenting itself at light+building 2012 with a dedicated booth for the retail sector, in addition to its main trade fair booths in hall 2.0. At booth A54 in hall 6.0, Osram will be demonstrating innovative presentation systems with new luminaires for the retail trade. Highlights include free-standing modular sales presentation systems and an aisle integration solution with which customers can obtain information about the products on display via a touchscreen. "Customers can now choose between the most diverse range of lamps. Our new aisle system helps them find exactly the right product quickly and easily," says Jörg Kessler, Head of Sales, West Europe at Osram.

Osram's Retail booth is making its debut at this year's light+building. Visitors can learn about the new consumer luminaires, as well as the matching presentation systems for the retail trade. The aisle system on display can be flexibly designed and positioned and can be used for all Osram luminaires. It offers solutions for both individual and standardized requirements. With the new system, the sales aisle is split horizontally into three segments. The demo segment at the top of the aisle presents the individual products by means of product samples and an associated application diagram. Below this, information is provided with details about the individual products. The bottom segment contains the products that can be purchased.

Osram is also demonstrating a new presentation concept with product samples for specialist lighting stores, department stores and furniture stores. Comprising a single or double module, it permits free-standing product demonstration on any scale. A key advantage is the flexible product integration, making it easy to add new luminaire ranges. An exclusive and eye-catching sales unit has been developed specifically for the needs of DIY stores. This contains both product samples and the actual retail products.

Consumer luminaires at the Retail booth

Osram is also presenting new LED luminaires in its aisle systems at the trade fair. These include the highly versatile QOD range of luminaries that are available in different shapes and sizes. The QOD luminaires offer a great deal of individual creative freedom thanks to their modular design. Osram is also presenting the decorative ceiling, pendant and wall-mounted luminaires from the Tresol range and the Silento pendant luminaires at this year's light+building. In the outdoor range, Osram is presenting its Noxlite family of outdoor LED luminaires, which feature energy efficiency, durability and robustness.

Advice at the trade fair booth

All visitors to the new Osram Retail booth at the trade fair who want further information can not only talk to the booth personnel, but access information via a touchscreen, too. The touchscreen allows visitors to call up the luminaire product of their choice along with key information. Customers can select a specific product using the corresponding numbering in the aisle and then read up on that product's application options, installation and accessories on the computer. It is also possible to find a product for a specific application or based on other criteria. Images demonstrate the variety of applications of the luminaires. The touchscreen will also be available to customers in retail stores in future.
