DL 50 LED: perfectly matched lighting design for the complete city

Optimum lighting design for urban spaces and traffic routes is based on high functionality for differing applications and a harmoniously coordinated overall appearance. The new DL 50 LED product range from Osram now provides even more opportunity for designing and implementing visually convincing lighting solutions. The system features high quality luminaires with a consistent design approach.

The effective interplay of components of the new DL 50 LED with its uniform design appearance represents reliable quality of light and an attractive overall urban appearance. The system makes the planning and design of wide roads, residential areas, squares and parks significantly more simple: the product range contains post-top and side entry luminaires as well as catenary luminaires, with various light distributions and light colours as well as a diversity of control options. In addition to the catenary luminaire for wide roads, a new addition to the product portfolio is a catenary version for narrow roads. The DL 50 LED design is unmistakable with its discreet character and a classic, round shape. Its low construction height and balanced proportions radiate a high aesthetic quality, seen particularly with the combination of luminaire and decorative bracket. "The diversity of the DL 50 LED provides excellent opportunity to create a successful appearance in terms of visual impression with lighting throughout the town or city," explained Anett Wagner, Product Manager at Osram Lighting Solutions.

Osram has enhanced the previous luminous flux tracking function to now offer a new generation of constant luminous flux in the form of the patented CLO 2.0 version. This features new calculation parameters to contribute directly to the reliability and lifespan of the urban lighting. The innovative solution takes into account current and previous environmental factors such as wind and temperature, enabling more precise luminous flux tracking based on these factors of influence. The preset luminous flux level is reliably achieved at all times, independent of weather conditions. This maximises energy efficiency of the lighting, cuts corresponding consumption costs and increases the service life.
