オーストリア、プレムスタッテン発（2021年6月xx日）-- 光学ソリューションのグローバルリーダーであるams OSRAM（SIX：AMS）は本日、同社のマルチスペクトルテクノロジーが、新型コロナウイルス（COVID-19、SARS-CoV-2）やその他の感染症向けの迅速で安価かつラボ品質の分子検査を実現する、BiologyWorks (k)nowデバイスの重要な構成要素となっていることを発表しました。
BiologyWorksの創設者であるPeter Marxは「ams Osramのスペクトルセンサは、検体を迅速かつ確実に識別し、正確なデジタルの結果を確実に提供する独自の機能を備えているため、BiologyWorks k(now)デバイスの重要な構成要素となっています」と述べています。
BiologyWorks k(now)デバイスの使い方は簡単です。前鼻部スワブで検体を採取し、液体の入った2本の試験管に連続して加えて混合し、その混合液を使い捨てカートリッジに1滴加えます。その後、高精度かつ低コストで、一度に複数の指標を検査できる分子検査用デバイスに、このカートリッジを挿入します。新型コロナウイルスの検査結果は、デバイスのディスプレイに表示されたQRコードをスマートフォンで読み取ることで確認できます。
BiologyWorks k(now)デバイスは、反射または蛍光測定用の高精度なスペクトル識別機能を提供する、10チャネルのスペクトルセンサであるAS7341Lを搭載しています。AS7341Lが提供する多波長のアプローチは、費用対効果の高い複数の分析物検出を可能にし、携帯端末に対応したパッケージで提供されます。BiologyWorksによる最先端のソフトウェアおよびハードウェアは、LAMP法と組み合わせ、分析を完了し、自宅にて数分で結果を提供することができます。
