BELAGO1.2 is the latest variant in the ams OSRAM dot projector family offering higher dot count for improved resolution in 3D sensing. It is pin compatible with older Belago variants and offering higher maximum power in addition to 3x higher dot density.<br>BELAGO1.2 is following the high-quality standards of ams OSRAM offering a reliable solution for demanding environments.<br>The compact dot-projector for stereoscopic imaging is optimized for active stereo vision and structured light systems. With 15k dots in a pseudo-random pattern high-contrast and high-density dot pattern is achieved. The small footprint allows for an easy integration in mobile platforms and offers the the perfect power/size ratio. The high optical efficiency as well as the high VCSEL efficiency contribute to a low power consumption on system level.<br>With the built-in eye safety interlock feature it facilitates the implementation on system level.<br>3D sensing, 3D imaging, Machine Vision and Access Control are the main applications.

It produces a focus-free, high-contrast dot pattern that algorithms can use to address low-texture situations and achieve high-accuracy depth maps. An additional benefit of the dot pattern is a reduction of the computational load required to perform the depth calculation.</div><div>The BELAGO1.1 dot-pattern illuminator is provided in a miniature package that is compatible with standard lead-free reflow processes. As such, it can be successfully used onboard of a great variety of 3D sensing platforms, from mobile to IoT to robotics, both for stereoscopic imaging and structured light. BELAGO1.1 emitters project 5k dots, focus-free, in a random pattern at 940nm.</div>

It produces a very high-contrast dot pattern that stereo-matching algorithms can use to address low-texture situations and achieve high-accuracy depth maps. An additional benefit of the dot pattern is a reduction of the computational load required to perform the depth calculation. <br> The BELICE-SD dot-pattern illuminator is provided in a miniature package that is compatible with standard lead-free reflow processes. As such, it can be successfully used onboard of a great variety of 3D sensing platforms, from mobile to IoT to robotics. <br> A pair of BELICE-SD emitters produce approximately 10k dots at 850nm. A 940nm version is currently under development.

ams EGA2000 - Industrial High-Power Flood Illuminator

<p class="amsBodyText">The EGA2000 module is specifically designed for open-space monochromatic infrared high power uniform illumination. The ultra-compact modules are assembled with ams‘ state-of-the-art opto-electronics component manufacturing processes and are reflow solderable. These modules, using laser illumination, allow improved efficiency, reduced footprint, and overall improved system performance. </p><p class="amsBodyText"><font color="#333333"><a name="_GoBack" style="touch-action: manipulation;"></a></font></p><p class="amsBodyText">EGA2000 can be used for illumination in conjunction with industrial 3D sensing cameras as well as 2D imaging systems for a variety of applications like object dimension detection in robotics and logistics, 3D mapping of the environment for autonomous guided vehicles (AGV) including household robots, 3D face authentication for e-locks and e-payment terminals and illumination in night vision systems. The EGA2000 modules produce high optical output power at either 850nm or 940nm with three field of illumination options: Narrow, Wide and Ultra-Wide.</p>

ams TARA2000-AUT - Automotive Flood Illuminator
|
<div>The TARA2000-AUT is designed for the new generation of 2D and 3D optical in-cabin sensing applications, where a high power illumination and high signal-to-noise ratio is needed under all circumstances. VCSEL based illumination enables maximum image quality with minimum PCB footprint, and combined with a narrow spectral bandwidth ensures robustness against sunlight and sunglass reflections inside the car. The ultra-compact module is designed and manufactured with ams‘ state-of-the-art opto-electronics component manufacturing processes and is AECQ-102 and ISO26262 compliant, a first in its class.</div><div> </div><div>TARA2000-AUT can be used both for 2D NIR-imaging and for 3D sensing systems such as time-of-flight and stereo vision. Different wavelength options offer flexibility to customers using different optical systems, and multiple FOI options make sure there is a good fit for each application such as driver monitoring, interior monitoring, or gesture sensing.</div>

ams TARA2000-AUT-SAFE for In-Cabin Sensing
|
Industry´s first automotive VCSEL with interlock based eye-safety<br><br>
After releasing the first AECQ-102 qualified in-cabin VCSEL to the market with TARA2000-AUT (in mass production since Q2 2021) the new TARA2000-AUT-SAFE comes with an upgraded packaging and an integrated eye-safety functionality that is more reliable and cost-efficient than existing photodiode (PD) based methods. The resistive interlock circuitry is integrated on the MLA (Micro-Lens Array) and can detect faults that could compromise eye safety, such as diffuser cracking or shear-off. Also, the TARA2000-AUT-SAFE’s interlock loop is easier to integrate with a lower cost, as its read-out circuit only requires one AND gate or MOSFET which also enables a near-instant response (below 1μs) to fault conditions. The fast and reliable response is in contrast to the existing built-in photodiode method for eye safety protection, where the photodiode signal is prone to faults caused by non-eye-safety related factors such as reflective objects in front of the VCSEL module, and the response time is slower.
