DVN Lidar Conference 2024
The 7th DVN Lidar Conference will bring together over 400 experts in automotive LiDAR and lighting to share insights and discuss emerging trends in the field.
Current LiDAR sensors using edge emitter laser (EEL) technology are mainly based on state-of-the art 3-junction technology. These emitters, in combination with wavelength stabilisation technology, allow the deployment of high-way pilot use cases for level 2 and level 3 ADAS. However, thermal management and low power consumption is still a challenge for the current LiDAR generation. By implementing our new 5-junction technology in combination with our wavelength stabilisation we can reduce the heat dissipation for some operation condition by over a factor of 2. Alternatively, 5-junction technology can double the optical peak power output of a single channel EEL. Customers can therefore benefit from an increased range and/or a reduced power consumption.
