OSRAM at the Prolight + Sound: lighting more flexible, brighter, more robust
OSRAM will demonstrate at the Prolight + Sound, the leading international trade fair for event technology (21st to 24th of March in Frankfurt on Main), how lighting for events can be improved. Highlights of the show are the LED image projector Kreios G1 with brilliant image reproduction, which is particularly flexible in use, the extremely bright high-pressure discharge lamp Sirius HRI with a reflector for use in moving heads, and the especially robust light/base units Lok-it! HTI Power Series for discharge lamps.
Kreios G1: The flexible LED image projector
For unconventional advertising use OSRAM has developed the Kreios G1 image projector. It projects the image of a special template – the so-called gobo – in a brilliant light quality onto walls, floors and objects. The motif can simply be changed and easily adapted to a range of different advertising purposes. Thanks to its high-performance, long-lasting, LED light source and the associated optical system, Kreios G1 provides clearly delineated, homogeneous lighting across the entire surface of the image. The high level of energy efficiency, which is typical of LEDs, makes it especially economic to use. It can replace a conventional 75W halogen light – but only requires 24W. This equals an energy saving of more than two thirds. Kreios G1 is also distinguished by its compact dimensions – it measures only 265 x 80 x 70 mm. At only 1.5 kilogrammes, it can be attached easily to walls, ceilings or floors. The projector can be tilted 120 degrees and swivelled up to virtually 360 degrees. This means that advertisements can be set up flexibly in virtually any location – without modifications to the projector. The design of the Kreios G1 has received the 2012 red dot award in the category “light and luminaire design”.
Sirius HRI: More performance
OSRAM already presented the Sirius HRI reflector lamp at the last Prolight + Sound, which is used in small, compact and lightweight moving heads. The product will be completed at this year’s exhibition. The new Sirius HRI light with an output of 330W rounds off the portfolio (190W, 230W, 280W). As the P-VIP technology used ensures an especially high luminescence, the lamp is ideally suited for spectacularly bright special-effects lighting. This is maintained throughout its service life with virtually no fall-off. The compact design of the Sirius HRI makes the construction of smaller and lighter lamps much easier. Sirius HRI is supplied as a complete system including an electronic control gear (ECG).
Lok-it! HTI Power series: a robust lamp for moving heads
The new Lok-it! HTI Power series of lights for discharge lamps will be launched at this year’s Prolight + Sound. Lok-it! is a light/base system which allows for stage changes to be carried out easily, quickly and safely without tools. It is simply installed, rotated, and clicked into place and can immediately be precisely aligned. Further, due to a mechanical safety device, it is also impossible to over-adjust the light holder. The quick lighting changes do not just mean that the action on stage is hardly interrupted: the so-called eXtreme-seal technology (XS technology) reduces the thermal loading of discharge lamps so that cooling can be decreased and the appropriate lights run more quietly.
The new Lok-it! HTI Power Series has a compact “PGJX28” base with an improved bulb holder, making it even more robust. Further, a shorter sheet interval makes the new range more efficient than before – delivering greater light output whilst using less energy. Come and see the new Lok-it! HTI 1000/PS at Martin Professional’s stall in in the product Mac Viper.
The OSRAM booth at the Prolight + Sound is located in hall 9.0, stand D10.
