Osram offers greater safety for motorcyclists

Osram improves its high-performance lamps for motorcycles and expands its product portfolio

With its expanded product portfolio for motorcycle lighting, improved Night Racer and X-Racer lamps and new design, Osram is now offering motorbike enthusiasts even more light on the road. After all, motorcyclists are the road users at greatest risk. Weather conditions can change quickly. Brighter lights can make all the difference between an accident and a safe journey home.

Osram high-performance lamps are renowned throughout Europe for their impressive output and reliability. Osram Night Racer 110, now with up to 110 percent more light than conventional halogen lamps, is a must for motorcyclists who hate compromise and who want only the best for themselves and their machines. These vibration-proof lamps are available for various motorbike makes in dual and single blister packs (RRP: from 36.49 euros and from 17.99 euros respectively).

One class below them is the Osram Night Racer 50 for price-conscious riders, offering up to 50 percent more light than conventional halogen lamps. This lamp is also vibration-proof and is available immediately in additional designs (RRP: from 7.49 euros) so it can be fitted to virtually any motorcycle.

If you prefer the xenon look then the Osram X-Racer is the right choice. These lamps offer a color temperature of up to 4200 K and up to 20 percent whiter light than standard halogen lamps. It is also available in various designs in dual blister packs (RRP: from 34.99 euros).

Expansion of the standard Osram Original range

The Osram Original Line 12 V range has been extended to include two special lamps for scooter riders, the S1 and S2 types (RRP: 4.99 euros) to add to the Original HS1 lamp. Osram Original S1 and S2 have an impressive price performance ratio. They last up to four times longer than standard lamps, and the halogen burner ensures that the bulb does not blacken at any time during its life. The new Osram original lamps will be available in retail outlets in single blister packs and boxes.

In addition to the improvements, there will be a new packaging design from September 2014 for the Osram Night Racer and X-Racer motorcycle lamps. They will appear on the shelves in gray mini motorcycle helmets.
