Osram presents its largest LED lamp portfolio
Osram is now presenting its largest portfolio of LED lamps, making digital light available for everyone. In terms of technology, the 90 lamp types are based on a platform strategy. This ensures a uniform design appearance and that technological enhancements are rapidly passed on to customers. Production in close proximity to the market also means quick availability. "Even more customers are upgrading to LED," stated Geert van der Meer, Head of the LED Lamps and Systems business unit at Osram. "We help them make their decision through attractive prices, premium design and above all, the highest quality."
The new LED portfolio consists of more than 20 types that until now did not exist in the form of LED lamps. A design highlight is the LED Superstar Classic A40, which is a real incandescent bulb replacement as it is just as compact as the original. The lamp range was implemented on the basis of a platform strategy where identical components are used in differing lamp types. As an example, a unique optic assembled in several lamps ensures uniform illumination in all directions (300 degrees), which makes sure an excellent allround light quality and very natural illumination in fixtures. A single light module based on the "Duris" LED from Osram generates light across all types.
The lamps are mainly produced near to their specific markets, for example with manufacture in Germany for the European market and in Mexico for the american market. In this way lamps can be optimally and quickly adapted to the needs of the individual market both in Europe and America and delivery times are reduced. The new Osram LED lamps are available now.
