Osram Opto Semiconductors Transforms Hangzhou’s City Park into an Attractive Leisure Site

A large scale comprehensive city lighting engineering project was carried out in Hangzhou in preparation for the 2016 G20 summit. Located at the heart of the Qianjiang New Town, City Terrace is a vibrant modern urban park in Hangzhou, China. At night, lighting transforms the park into a tranquil and attractive leisure site with spectacular views.
Located on one end of the central axis of Qianjiang New Town, City Terrace consists of a main terrace and two wings, covering nearly 24.000 square meters. Yanjiang Avenue passes beneath the park which is seated on the northern bank of the Qiantang River. The area is covered with thriving lawns and trees, and features modern architecture and sculptures. Hailed as the Bund of Hangzhou, it is a modern urban park where people can enjoy various leisure activities and watch the tides of the river.
The corridors, guardrails, and passages of the city park are accented by night lights. Lamps trace the irregular lines of the corridors to form a well-structured view. Fitting with the city park’s purpose as a leisure park, soft lights with warm colours are chosen as opposed to excessively bright lights. This huge complex is like an ocean liner harbored by the riverside, tranquil and beautiful.
