‘Be Road Ready’ with OSRAM Automotive: product launch and selected highlights at Automechanika 2026

Premstaetten, Austria and Munich, Germany (September 07, 2026) – at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 from September 8 to 12, 2026 ams OSRAM (SIX: AMS) is presenting an exciting look at its automotive‑aftermarket portfolio under the ‘Be Road Ready’ slogan. Alongside new road‑approved¹ LED retrofit solutions – including the NIGHT BREAKER LED SPEED H1 and the NIGHT BREAKER LED VINTAGE H1 – and innovative workshop and breakdown accessories, the OSRAM BETTER SIGHT WIPERblades are this year’s standout product. The trade‑fair presence concludes with a press event offering a live installation and product demos on September 8 and 9 at 3:30 pm and 11:00 am. On Wednesday, visitors can demonstrate their own skills at the NIGHT BREAKER LED SPEED H7 450 installation challenge and compete against OSRAM Automotive Speed Champion Isabel Rupprecht, Senior Product Manager for LEDr.

Modern LED retrofitting for everyday use
With regard to road-approved¹ LED retrofitting, ams OSRAM is showcasing two new H1 solutions at Automechanika, tailored to different applications and vehicle profiles: the NIGHT BREAKER LED SPEED H1 and the NIGHT BREAKER LED VINTAGE H1. Both combine modern LED technology with everyday practicality and are designed for straightforward retrofitting – while deliberately serving different priorities.

With the NIGHT BREAKER LED SPEED H1, OSRAM is presenting a plug-and-play solution designed specifically for very quick and straightforward installation. The identical 1:1 design makes it mechanically compatible with conventional H1 lamps, eliminating the need for additional caps or adapters. The lamp delivers a modern, bright white light with a colour temperature of up to 6,000 Kelvin and is designed to support stable lumen output even at low battery voltage. At the same time, the glare experienced by other road users is up to 50 percent below the maximum permitted levels². Compared with conventional halogen lamps, the NIGHT BREAKER LED SPEED H1 uses up to 60 percent less energy and, thanks to its LED technology and vibration-resistant design, lasts up to six times longer³.

With the NIGHT BREAKER LED VINTAGE H1, OSRAM is extending its portfolio to include a solution specifically aimed at drivers of classic cars as well as anyone who wants to combine an authentic look with modern technology. This road‑approved¹ LED retrofit lamp delivers warm white light up to 3,000 Kelvin, blending seamlessly with the look of classic cars and their modern counterparts. Again, the 1:1 design ensures quick installation without the need for any additional caps or adapters. In addition, the integrated Constant Brightness technology is designed to support consistent light output even when battery voltage fluctuates or is low – a relevant advantage, particularly for older vehicles. At the same time, the lamp emits no UV radiation, which can help protect the reflector and lens of the original headlamp. Like the SPEED version, the VINTAGE version is designed for high brightness while reducing glare by up to 50 percent² and offering a service life of up to six times longer³ than traditional halogen lamps.

A new highlight for clear visibility in any weather
A key highlight of the trade‑fair display is the BETTER SIGHT WIPERblades which reflect ams OSRAM’s commitment to pushing visibility to the next level. After all, good visibility doesn’t just start with the headlights, but with a clear windscreen – especially in rain, snow, dirt and changing weather conditions. With its new wiper blades, the established manufacturer is making a strong statement in a product category that is directly relevant to drivers every day.
The new generation of wiper blades is designed to deliver quiet, streak-free wiping performance, easy installation and reliable performance in a range of weather conditions. Advanced nanotechnology composite materials, an aerodynamic profile and a design optimized for even contact pressure ensure consistently strong wiping performance and help to reduce noise and streaks. What’s more, the multi-fit system allows for quick, tool-free installation on many common vehicles. Building on these practical upgrades, OSRAM Automotive underscores at Automechanika how modern vision solutions extend well beyond conventional lighting.

Tyre care made easy
The TYREinflate 2130 shows that ‘Be Road Ready’ starts even before you drive off. The model is designed to make everyday tyre-pressure checks as quick, simple and user-friendly as possible, helping to simplify a task that can play a central role in safety, efficiency and tyre life. Because tyre‑pressure checks are so often put off, OSRAM Automotive has developed a fast, user‑friendly and practical solution.
As a premium model, the TYREinflate2130 is designed to be fast and easy to use. It also features Auto-Stop technology, designed to make inflation even easier. Added to this are the largest digital display in the range and the ‘Easyset’ dial, which makes operation particularly intuitive. This makes an often tedious chore quick and easy ahead of the next trip.

Greater safety in the event of a breakdown
OSRAM is presenting the LEDguardian ROAD FLARE Signal TA20 NXT for situations where speed is of the essence. The warning light is exactly the type of product that has to be ready for use in an emergency: compact, clearly visible and easy to use. This means that OSRAM shines a light on a key safety concern that matters most in urgent moments – staying visible at the roadside and avoiding secondary accidents.
The TA20 NXT is a 360° flashing, TA20-certified warning light that is approved for use on public roads in Germany according to §53a StVZO. Its warning signal is visible from up to 1,000 metres away and it offers an operating time of up to 15 hours. Thanks to USB-C charging, magnetic mounting and IP54 protection, it is designed for quick, robust use – even in rain, snow, fog or dust. Its compact format makes it easy to store in the vehicle, keeping it readily to hand in the event of a breakdown or when maintenance is required. Particularly in situations with reduced visibility or hazardous conditions, the manufacturer is demonstrating how roadside safety can be effectively enhanced using state‑of‑the‑art technology.

Good to go – even before driving off
The BATTERYcharge 1010 rounds out the trade‑fair display. With this product, OSRAM Automotive is launching a smart battery charger that ensures dependable charging and improves vehicle readiness. As the highest-performance 10 A unit in the ams OSRAM range, the BATTERYcharge 1010 is designed for higher charging requirements and supports both 12 V and 24 V systems. The digital display offers clear, intuitive guidance, and the device is built as a smart, safe, user‑friendly charging solution. Perfectly in line with the ‘Be Road Ready’ theme, the BATTERYcharge 1010 highlights that being prepared isn’t just about reacting in an emergency, but also about preventing breakdowns before they happen.

Off-road performance for easy retrofitting and greater flexibility
At Automechanika, ams OSRAM is also showcasing modern off-road solutions for easy LED retrofitting. With the LEDriving HL EASY FREE H7 and the LEDriving HL ALLSEASON, two product families are being introduced that are designed around compact form factors, modern LED technology and easy installation. While the LEDriving HL EASY FREE H7 is a CAN bus free plug-and-play solution that requires no additional adapters, caps, and CAN bus; the LEDriving HL ALLSEASON offers additional flexibility in different weather conditions thanks to its switchable light color while also creating an authentic appearance for classic and vintage vehicles. Both products are not approved for use on public roads.
