Radiant Innovation: German Design Award for OSRAM
Premstätten, Austria and Munich, Germany (February 10, 2025) – OSRAM is delighted to receive a special award: at the German Design Award ceremony last Friday in Frankfurt am Main, the popular OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LED W5W was honored in the "Excellent Product Design" category.
The OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LED W5W is ams OSRAM's first street-legal replacement lamp for use in all 12V vehicle models. It offers modern and bright white light with a color temperature of up to 5700 Kelvin and a luminous flux of up to 50 lm. Additionally, the W5W LED consumes up to 80 percent less energy than conventional light sources. With this overall package, as well as its compact and simple design, it secured an award in the "Excellent Product Design" category.

The German Design Award is one of the most prestigious design awards worldwide and enjoys high recognition far beyond professional circles. The independent jury, consisting of representatives from industry, academia, and design, annually selects products that set international standards for innovative design developments.
