LED Spot

Eight product ranges presented for installers under the “Ledvance Osram” brand with attractive cost-benefit ratios and concise designs

For sales via the electrical wholesaler channel, the Osram Lamps business unit – to be known as Ledvance from 1 July – is bringing a portfolio of suitable LED luminaires to market with familiar, renowned quality for standard applications. The approximately 60 energy-efficient luminaires with the brand name of “Ledvance Osram” feature very good cost-benefit ratios, concise designs and especially simple installation.

The LED luminaire portfolio for the electrical wholesale sector currently consists of the eight product ranges Downlight, Spot, Damp Proof, Linear, High Bay, Panel, Surface Circular and Floodlight. The approximately 60 products in these categories feature high efficiency levels of up to 120 lumens/watt, up to 50,000 hours rated service life and very attractive cost-benefit ratios. Ledvance is offering a guarantee of up to five years because of the outstanding product quality. The new luminaires will be available from July 2016 and further models are to follow in the Fall.

With a recessing-capable LED downlight and similar LED spot, two direct replacement products for compact fluorescent lamps and halogen spots are being presented. These significantly cut electricity and maintenance costs due to energy savings of up to 90 percent and rated lifespans of up to 30,000 hours. A circular cutout in the cavity ceiling is all that is required for initial installation of these luminaires. They can be used in both residential buildings and professional applications.

With an IP65 protection rating, the new damp-proof luminaire from the “Damp Proof” range is ideal for use in garages, car parks and basements. Its polycarbonate cover and wide beam angle also ensure highly uniform distribution of light. During installation the luminaire can be connected to the mains supply without having to touch the LED modules, and through-wiring is also possible. The round Surface Circular luminaires with 35 and 40 cm diameters can be used as both wall and ceiling luminaires. Uses in damp rooms such as bathrooms are also possible thanks to an IP44 protection rating.

The new, compact Linear luminaires are offered in four different versions with lengths ranging from 300 to 1,500 mm and with various luminous flux levels: one version has up to 2,500 lumens for applications requiring higher brightness levels. The luminaires are also capable of easily illuminating very long rooms, as up to 20 pieces can be connected in series.
