Osram's Light Finder, an app that greatly simplifies the purchase of lamps and luminaires, is now available for immediate download. App users can find the ideal lamps or luminaires for their homes in a few short steps. The smartphone and tablet application can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and the Google PlayTM Store.

We have all been there: standing bewildered in front of the lamp shelf in a store with no idea which lamp is best. A halogen or a LED lamp, a bulb or a candle shape? Questions upon questions. The new Osram Light Finder offers users different ways to choose suitable lighting for their homes.

With the application “lamp finder” they find the right lamp for any room in a few simple steps. First they select the lamp socket they require and then they can choose from the various lamp shapes available for it, such as a bulb or a candle shape. In the next step, users decide on the brightness of the lamp. The app will then suggest suitable technologies for their purposes and the user can select the right LED, compact fluorescent or halogen lamp.

The app can also help users select luminaires for their homes. Virtual rooms are simulated in which the various luminaires from the Osram range can be installed. This offers a quick way to see which luminaire fits s best in which room and in which location. Users can also photograph their own rooms and simulate the installation of luminaires directly in those surroundings.

The Osram Light Finder can be downloaded in German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish and Swedish via the following links:
