描述

The TSL2572 device family provides ambient light sensing (ALS) that approximates human eye response to light intensity under a variety of lighting conditions and through a variety of attenuation materials. Accurate ALS measurements are the result of ams’ patented dual-diode technology and the UV rejection filter incorporated in the package. In addition, the operating range is extended to 60000 lux in sunlight when the low-gain mode is used.

The TSL2572 evaluation kit comes with everything needed to evaluate the TSL2572 Ambient Light sensor. The evaluation kit comprises of a main controller board with a PIC microcontroller, an industry standard USB 2.0 interface (with a USB cable), a TSL2572 daughter card, "plug-n-play" USB HID class drivers, software documentation, and GUI software allowing users to control the ALS sensor settings as the PIC takes the TSL2572 I2C digital outputs to calculate ALS illuminance in lux approximating the human eye response.
